  1. Account Details: Email or Phone Number.
  2. Profile Content: Video introductions, Alias Name(A.K.A H8 Name), age range, location, gender identity, minimum compatibility percent, responses to dislike-based prompts, and preference settings.
  3. Match Preferences: Selected dislikes (H8s).
  4. User Communications: Messages with matches and feedback.

b. Automatically Collected Information

  1. Usage Data: Device ID, app interactions, features used, and timestamps.
  2. Location Data: If granted, we use location to provide nearby matches (you can disable this in settings).
  3. Cookies & Analytics: We may use cookies or similar tools to improve your experience.


2. Third Party Integration: SMS Verification via Twilio

As part of the account registration process, we use SMS messages to verify your phone number. These messages are sent through our third-party provider, Twilio. By registering for an account with your phone number, you consent to receiving SMS messages solely for authentication and security purposes (e.g., verification codes). Standard messaging rates may apply. Your phone number will only be used for this purpose and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  1. Facilitate honest and boundary-aware matchmaking.
  2. Help you express your dislikes and deal breakers effectively.
  3. Recommend compatible matches based on your shared H8s.
  4. Monitor, moderate, and improve the app’s safety.
  5. Personalize features and optimize user experience.
  6. Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse.


4. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information:

  1. With other app users: Based on your preferences and profile visibility settings.
  2. With Service Providers: Like cloud storage, analytics tools, or content moderation services—only what’s necessary for functionality.
  3. For Legal Reasons: If required by law, court order, or to protect H8M8 or its users.
  4. In Case of Merger or Acquisition: We’ll notify you if ownership changes.

  1. Edit/Delete your profile at any time, resulting in permanent account deletion and its data.
  2. Adjust visibility settings for profile content.
  3. Withdraw consent for location or data processing (subject to app limitations).

  1. As long as your account is active.

We take your privacy seriously:

  1. Encrypted storage of sensitive data.

However, no platform can guarantee 100% security, so we encourage users to:

H8M8 is only for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover underage users, we will delete their accounts and data promptly.

H8M8 operates globally, but your data may be stored in the U.S. or other countries. By using the app, you consent to this transfer. Users in the EU/EEA may have additional GDPR rights, which we honor.
